When we first started focusing on courier website design, we did so because of the fantastic features, and the benefits of these features to couriers and their clients, that such features can deliver – and the fact that very few web design firms appeared to be offering these features.
Our client, National Same Day Couriers in Manchester, wanted a website which looked highly professional, which contained all of the important info in an easy to find and read format – and most importantly they wanted the feature of the courier calc / estimate tool which works out the mileage instantly online, and gives the client an estimate.
Our courier calculator / estimate tool uses Google Maps to work out the route & calculate the mileage, and then deliver the estimate to the client literally instantly, along with the Google map image of the route.
We also coded in various vehicle types, to allow for a range of cost per mile.
We can actually do a lot more than this – our courier website features allow for a back-end admin system which allows the client (the website owner) to change their price per mile themselves so they can adjust as fuel prices increase, we can link the estimate tool to an auto quoting tool which sends the estimate to the client via email as a properly formatted quotation – and we can even link the estimate tool to an eCommerce solution allowing the customer to book their delivery online and pay online!
